When someone mentions Harvest Festival, I wonder what you think of? Maybe Victorian people bringing their various fresh produce to celebrate? Or singing about different vegetables at school?
When we talk about Harvest, we are talking about the donating of non-perishable food products to those in Stockport community who need it.
This could be through a school running a Harvest assembly to show the children what it means and to encourage them to bring food items to school; it could be through a church putting on a service that is dedicated to giving food to those in the community who need it; someone could set up a collection table at your office; or maybe you put on a Harvest meal where people bring donations with them.
There are many ways you can get involved this Harvest and donate non-perishable food items to Stockport Foodbank, so that we can distribute it those who truly need it this Autumn. We also have many resources available for you to use, like PowerPoints and posters that we will happily send to you.
