Local running retailers host fabulous fundraiser

Hazel Grove based running retailer Sports Feet, in conjunction with Alderley Edge based Running Bear, organised a glamorous ball for the running community and raised money for Stockport foodbank in the process!

The glitzy night which took place at Bramall Park Golf Club, included a magician, some fabulous singers, a raffle with amazing running themed prizes and an entertaining compere who also doubled up as a DJ when partygoers had finished their meal and were ready to hit the dance floor.

The event raised a whopping £1097.50 for the foodbank and will really help to re-stock some core items that are running low.

Foodbank General Manager, Nigel Tedford commented “We are so delighted that two local businesses, Sports Feet and Running Bear, have organised and hosted such a fantastic event that has been supported by the running community and has helped raise such vital funds for our service.”
