Seven year old targets 100 miles in February to raise money for Stockport foodbank

20th January 2021

Throughout the pandemic we have been overwhelmed by the different ways people have supported us. From donating produce and financial donations to hosting virtual quiz nights and taking part in virtual running events to raise funds, people have really got into the community spirit to help those who are struggling in our town.

Our junior fundraisers have grown in number and as we start 2021 we celebrate seven year old Emily who has taken on the challenge of walking 100 miles in February to raise money for Stockport foodbank.

Emily has put together a walking plan to ensure she can organise her walking activities around her home schooling.

Emily commented on her justgiving page “I like helping others and I have raised money for charity before and helped homeless charities with my mum but this idea is my own idea and my biggest challenge yet!”.

Emily is aiming to raise £1,500 and is already well on her way to reaching her target. We are so grateful and wish her the best of luck. Click here to view Emily’s justgiving page.
