From Thursday 20 to Saturday 22 August, local Tesco stores will be encouraging their customers to consider a donation to Stockport Foodbank whilst shopping at their stores. Around the Tesco Extra stores at Handforth Dean and Portwood will be leaflets and ‘encouragements’ to buy certain items which can then be deposited in the Foodbank collection baskets behind the checkouts.
Sadly due to COVID 19 and unlike previous collections, the Foodbank volunteers will not be present in stores to receive your donations but would like to thank you, in advance, for any donation you care to make.
We would really value donations of tinned meats, tinned fish, tinned vegetables (but not baked beans), tinned fruits, tinned puddings, packets of instant mash, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
